The bike comes loaded with powerful features, perfect handling, attractive design and available at a competitive price. But will it serve the purpose of a perfect entry level performance bike? The question will be answered by a full comparison with its closest rivals KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Benelli 302R. Design Comparison of TVS Apache 310, KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 & Benelli 302R

TVS Apache RR 310 has been designed on the Akula 310 concept. The bike looks stunning with sharp lines and a mean looking nose. The twin headlamps definitely attract attention and the horn-shaped tail light makes it look like a shark. KTM RC 390 has a unique design and stands out with its razor sharp styling along with quirky headlamps. The orange and black paint job definitely gains attention. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has borrowed its design and styling from Ninja ZX 10R. The bike has aged over the years, but still looks beautiful and has its own charm. The Benelli 302 R has a bulky front fairing, twin headlamps, and dual front discs. The bike comes in dual color tone and gives a great feel while riding.

When it comes to features KTM RC 390 is loaded with great features like ride by wire, slipper clutch, adjustable levers and a digital instrument cluster. The Apache RR 310 is also close to KTM RC 390 in features with a vertical digital console that shows a gearshift indicator, lap time real-time mileage and much more. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Benelli 302R are more old natured and have an analog-digital instrument cluster. KTM RC 390 and Apache RR 310 have projector headlamps and LED DRL’s. Benelli 302R also comes with LED DRL’s. The Ninja 300 also has DRLs but not with LEDs.

Apache RR 310 is powered by the 312 cc liquid-cooled BMW engine, the same that powers the BMW G 310R that produces a power of 33.5bhp and torque of 27 Nm. with a kerb weight of 170 kg, the bike has a high power to weight ratio. On the other hand, KTM RC 390 has a 373 cc single cylinder engine tuned to produce 43 bhp power and 36 Nm of torque. With a kerb weight of 154 kg, KTM RC 390 is the lightest in this comparison.
Unlike the Apache RR 310 and KTM RC 390, the Kawasaki Ninja and Benelli use twin cylinder engine. Ninja 300 comes with a 296 cc twin cylinder engine tuned to produce 38 bhp peak power and 27 Nm peak torque. Ninja has a kerb weight of 172 kg as compared to its rivals. In the contrast, Benelli 302R is powered by a 300 cc parallel twin cylinder engine that churns out 38 bhp power and 26.5 Nm of torque. TVS has kept the Apache RR 310 at a competitive ex-showroom price of Rs.2.05 lakh that undercuts all the competition on the list. KTM RC 390 is a bit more expensive than Apache at an ex-showroom price of 2.25 lakh while the Benelli 302R is over one lakh more expensive priced at Rs.3.48 lakh. Kawasaki Ninja 300 is the most expensive in this comparison and priced at 3.60 lakh. All the prices mentioned here are the ex-showroom Delhi prices. If we rank the biked in terms of value for performance ratio, KTM RC 390 is the most value for money bike followed by TVS Apache RR 310.
