The most awaited Yamaha R15 V3 has been spotted testing in India. The third generation of Yamaha R15 has already been launched in the international markets. Yamaha is all set to bring its most anticipated bike in India. The motorcycle has also been spotted testing earlier in India. Here we have brought a list of differences in the Indian and International variant of Yamaha R15 V3.
Differences in Yamaha R15 V3 Indian and Overseas Version
As per the spied images of the motorcycle, Yamaha R15 will be available in the racing blue colour. The Indian version of R15 misses the upside down front forks replaced with low-cost telescopic units. The rider's seat is big but the pillion seat is not as high as present in R15 V2. The paint quality looks pretty good giving the bike a premium sports look. The differences are there to keep the costs low and position the motorcycle in India at a competitive price.
Yamaha also ditches the ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) in the Indian version which is a must for a racing bike. The design of Yamaha R15 V3 has been borrowed from its elder siblings Yamaha R1 and R6. The bike will also have a completely digital instrument cluster but the fuel tank capacity has been reduced to 11 litres.

Yamaha R15 V3 Engine Specifications
It is clear that Yamaha is trying to keep the third generation of R15 to be cost-effective in India. Yamaha R15 V3 will be powered by the same 155 cc, 4 stroke liquid cooled engine. The engine will produce a 19 PS of power at 10000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque at 8500 rpm. The power will be transferred to the rear wheel through the same 6-speed gearbox. The Indian version will also lack the slipper clutch as present in the overseas version.
With the going on testing events, Yamaha may launch the Yamaha R15 V3 in early 2018. As the motorcycle lacks ABS it is expected to be launched before April 2018. Yamaha has ditched many sophisticated features that are present in overseas version to cut the costs. We hope that Yamaha will launch the R15 V3 at a price around 1.2 lakh. Although Yamaha has not yet revealed the launch details, we can expect them soon.
